The City of Toronto is planning to repurpose 1615 Dufferin Street into a homeless shelter. This shelter would be located within close proximity of 6 schools (Loretto College School is less than 100 m away) and adjacent to a library which has an EarlyON Child and Family Centre and adjacent to homes and businesses in the Dufferin St. and St. Clair Ave. W. area.
We are calling on Mayor Olivia Chow, Councillor Alejandra Bravo and Toronto City Council to terminate and abandon any plans to open a homeless Shelter at 1615 Dufferin Street, Toronto.
